Long-Range Facilities Plan

Message from the Superintendent

Rarely in a lifetime is one presented an opportunity to engage in truly significant and lasting work that has the potential to benefit young people and an entire community well into the future. Our Bond Advisory Committee was created to help the district prepare for adequate and sustainable facilities and programs that will empower our students to receive the quality education expected by our great community.
 
It is not an easy task; it is complex. Difficult decisions will have to be made. Both internal and external professionals will fully prepare the committee for decisions by providing financial data, demographics, needs for new construction and renovations, technology gaps, and more. Stakeholders will deliberate together and, through an equitable process, make prudent decisions to help the district in creating a long-range facilities plan. They will assess needs, gather information, and make critical decisions regarding the construction of a bond package that will first be presented to the Board of Trustees, then to the RFISD community in May 2022.
 
We want to thank these stakeholders for embracing this opportunity to serve their community, their school district, and the students of Rockport-Fulton ISD.

BOND ADVISORY COMMITTEE

2021-2022

PURPOSE

The RFISD Bond Advisory Committee is being established to help the District create a Long-Range Facilities Plan to address current facility needs, create educational excellence for students, and position the district for future growth.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMITTEE

The Bond Advisory Committee shall assist the Superintendent and the Board of Trustees with the development, evaluation, and of the District’s Long-Range Facilities Plan   

      • Chairperson: Superintendent or designee
      • Scribe:  Executive Assistant to the Superintendent
      • Ad Hoc Members: Central Office staff will be on-site to provide additional information for the committee as needed.
