On Thursday May 25, 2017,
Little Bay Primary will celebrate summer reading with the 9th Annual Book Exchange
. Students, teachers and parents can bring gently used children's books between May 16 and May 23, 2017
to the library. There will be a drop-off box and record sheet in the library. When dropping books off, record the student's name, their teacher's name and number of books to be exchanged or donated on the sheet. For each book brought in to be exchanged, the student can choose that number of books in return. For example if you donate 10 books, and you may want your child to pick out 6 new-to-them books and donate 4 for children who do not have books to exchange. The book exchange is for Little Bay Primary students only.
Gently used children's books of all types including children's fiction, nonfiction, first readers, picture books and baby board books are needed. (Covers on, no rips, tears or bent edges) Also, extra books for students who do not have books to exchange would be appreciated.
On Exchange Day Thursday May 25, 2017, students who donated books for Exchange Day will choose their “new” books. Then, each class will be able to come to the library and students will choose a book for their home library. Last year we had enough donations to give every child a book. They were so excited. Thank you for supporting reading and helping to put books in the hands of children.
