About Me

CLASS: Reading and Writing

SCHOOL PHONE: 361-790-2240 ext 4404

I grew up in Michigan and usually enjoy a few weeks there each summer. I
earned my undergraduate degree from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) in 1988
and my Master's Degree (Texas A & M, Corpus Christi) in 1997. This year
marks my 31st year of teaching! My husband was a coach & high school biology
teacher in the district for 18 years but ventured down a new path 6 years
ago. He was the assistant principal at Little Bay Primary and now is
joining us here at Fulton Learning Center. Our daughter, Emma, is in
seventh grade, and our son, Ben, is a sophmore at RFHS. In my spare time, I
dabble in photography--my favorite subjects being my children & my students!
At FLC, I'm known as the paparazzi (click! click! click!) since I am in
charge of the yearbook.

Mission Statement

I hope that my students find my classroom fun & challenging as each
individual strives to become a better reader and writer. These are lifelong
skills that are so important no matter what path each selects.
