About Me

Welcome!  I have taught in Rockport for over 15 years.  I am a native of San Antonio and grew up in a bilingual and

bi-cultural family.   I learned at a very early age the value of being able to view

the world from more than one perspective.  My undergraduate degree from

Baylor University is in Foreign Service/Latin American Studies/Spanish.

My graduate degree from Trinity University is in Urban Administration.

I have traveled and studied Spanish in Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America.

Prior to becoming a teacher I used English and Spanish on a daily basis in my personal

and professional life.  It is my hope that my experiences and passion for

language will inspire my students to excel in their studies.  It is indeed

my pleasure to teach and play in a bilingual environment everyday!

Mission Statement

My mission is for every student to be immersed in a classroom setting that is fun, challenging, and rich in learning oportunities.

All students will improve their ability to communicate in English and Spanish by reading, writing, listening and speaking.

They also will gain a deeper understanding of cultures different than their own.  This year we will utilize Achieve 3000

to develop advanced academic language skills through engaging and personally diferentiated lessons.
