About Me

As a Career and Technical Education (CTE) instructor, I truly believe I have the best teaching job an educator can have. My class will not only provide your student the ability to explore careers that they may be interested in, and pathways they must follow to achieve their goals, but also the opportunity to learn all important "soft skills"...the key abilities that everyone needs to succeed in the workplace and in life. A few examples include Manners, Integrity, Kindness, Communications, Courtesy, Responsibility, Flexibility, Teamwork, Compassion, and Self-Control. While many may not gain experience with certain "hard skills", they will be able to take learned soft skills with them into any profession.

Studies have shown that CTE helps develop students' non-cognitive skills better than core courses alone. CTE students are significantly more likely than their non-CTE counterparts, to report that through early education and participation, they were able to learn and develop such skills as problem solving, project completion, research, time management, college/job application, work-related, communication and critical thinking.

My job, with the help and support of parents/guardians, is to help young people find their passion and voice in a positive and thought provoking environment.

Mission Statement

"As a teacher, it is my responsibility to help my students realize that through learning, they can enhance their life in a positive way. I want to encourage ALL my students to believe in themselves, and through that belief, take on the challenges of life and go forward".
