About Me

Hi, my name is Suzy Citek and I am very excited to be teaching your student this year.  I have taught forty eight years and come to you with much experience and a love for teaching and learning.  I have taught in San Antonio (8 years), Seguin (11 years), New Braunfels (3 years), and Wimberley (20 years), and Rockport Fulton Middle School ( 4 Years)  , and here at the high school two year.  Subject taught have included physical education, health, math, and technology.

My husband and I moved to Rockport In 2010 and I opened the Bay Education Center as the education specialist, running the center and doing all the presentations on the science on a sphere.  If you have not visited the BEC, please go by to see one of three spheres in Texas and one of one hundred and three in the world.  Rockport is very fortunate to have such a great learning tool which is closed for repairs due to Harvey.

I have one daughter, a teacher for fifteen years, in Hayes, New Braunfels and Shertz-Cibolo, a son in law with the Seguin Sheriff's Department, and three grandsons.  My husband passed away in 2013, so the love of my life now is my very large, spoiled Basset Hound, Ditto .

I love to travel by cruising!  In the pass five years I have taken twelve cruises.  I try to snorkel at all the country I've traveled to.  Being a computer nerd is another of my interest.  The love of learning has always been my main hobby.  I do think you can teach an “old dog” new trick.  With technology changing so quickly it combines my love do learning and technology.

My schedule is:

1st period-Algebra 1

2nd period-Geometry

3rd period-Algebra 1

4th period-Conference

5th period-Algebra 1

6th period-Algebra 1

7th period-Geometry

8th period-Advisory

I will write parents often in Skyward, so please have an active account.

I hope to make your student's first year in high school is a great year of learning and show them that Math Rocks!
