I graduated from TAMUCC with a BS in Marine Biology and later obtained my teacher certification at UTSA. I moved to Rockport in 2008 and have been teaching science at RFHS since. Subjects I've taught include Biology, Chemistry, IPC, Aquatic Science, and Anatomy & Physiology.
I am a busy mom of four children. My oldest son and twin daughters attend RFHS and the youngest son is at RFMS. Between the various sports they all play and other extracurricular activities, they keep me on my toes! We also adore our beloved "Tasha", a boxer/terrier mix dog.
The #1 goal I have for my students is for them to enjoy learning science in my classroom. My wish is for them to develop a desire for learning about the scientific world through engaging labs and activities, as well as accompanying lessons. I feel it is important for students to recognize the relevance of science to society and themselves.
I enjoy reading, crafts, gardening, and watching pretty much all sports - especially the Cowboys and Spurs.
As many others, I moved to Rockport for the water. I love any excuse to be near or on the water - fishing, boating, looking for shells, etc.
