Fourteen Qualify for State Solo & Ensemble

This past Saturday 42 students from RFHS Pirate Chorale competed at the UIL Choir Solo & Ensemble competition at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

They earned 94 gold medals for superior ratings on solos and/or ensembles.  5 solos, the madrigal, and the boy's quartet qualified for State Solo & Ensemble.

Those earning gold medals were: Jennifer Billy, Lauren Corry, Robert Rodriguez, Peyton Wynne, William Barefield, Mireya Cano, Martin Cantu, Kaylie Collins, Emily Courtney,Elissa Covington, Daisy Flores, Makayla Guerrero, Kaylee Howell, David Loveall, Jordan Patteson, Devin Ruiz, Valerie Villanueva, Katie Parker, Makenzie Barg, Dora DeLeon, Cheyenne Broadstock, Kiana Gandesbery, Genave Garcia, Emily Lewis, Haley Lopez, Leslie Nesbit, Abigail Ortiz, Elisa Rangel, Gavin Sasser, Paige Torres, Valerie Villanueva, and Peyton Wynne.

Those earning gold medals and qualifying for State Solo & Ensemble were: Nathan Adams, Alexandra Almada, Adam Armstrong, McCauley Duck, Courtney Haley, Trent Hudson, Chris Lucius, Max Marton, Nicole Moreno, Robert Racette, Alexis Reyes, Cassidy Segovia, and Kynndrah Warner.
