RFHS Expands Dual Credit Selection

RFHS is excited to announce that we are partnering with Del Mar College to expand our dual credit selection for the 2017-2018 school year.  Please review the course descriptions below.  If your freshman, sophomore, or junior is interested in enrolling in one of the classes listed below, please email aedmonds@acisd.org.  Include the student's name, the class selected, and the semester the student would like to take each class (fall or spring).  Please include which class you would like to have replaced.  Please make sure to adhere to the priority deadline of contacting Mrs. Edmonds prior to Thursday, 3/23.

 

GOVT 2306. TEXAS GOVERNMENT: TEXAS CONSTITUTION AND TOPICS (3-0-3) 4510025125 (TCCN: 2306) Origin and development of the Texas constitution, structure and powers of state and local government, federalism and inter-governmental relations, political participation, the election process, public policy, and the political culture of Texas. Students who have taken a government course at another college or university should contact an adviser or the Department of Social Sciences before enrolling in a Del Mar College government course. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M1.

 

MUSI 1306. MUSIC APPRECIATION (3-0-3) 5009025126 Develops an understanding of musical arts through the study of the elements of music including melody, harmony, rhythm, color, texture and form. Includes style traits, genres and composers of various historical periods. Emphasizes the development of listening skills. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M1.

 

MUSI 1310. AMERICAN MUSIC-HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL (3-0-3) 5009025326 General survey of composers, performers and styles of the American music genre of Rock and Roll. Assessment Levels: R3, E3, M1.
