The Rockport-Fulton High School Choirs competed at U.I.L. Choir Solo & Ensemble competition on Saturday, February 9th at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. They brought home 207 gold medals for superior ratings received on solos and ensembles. Thirty-one of these students qualified for U.I.L. State Solo & Ensemble to be held in May. 97% of the solos received a superior rating!
Students receiving a superior rating on a solo and/or ensemble were Aaliyah Alfaro, Brandon Hardee, Ashley Harrell, Makayla Reed, Haley Sheridan, Lauren Walling, LeeAnne Berckmoes, Ashlynn Dominque, Miguel Estrada, Claudia Frankin, Juleanna Fuller, Trent Grogan, Colin Harrison, Bianca Hernandez, Bryan Hoang, Joey Jasso, Nathan Jenkins, Reece King, Jessica Lybarger, Mariah Martinez, Eliza Novosad, Dulce Trujillo, Allison Ballou, Kim Blalock, Crystal Brandl, Lauren Cervantes, Anna Davis, Breanna Dominguez, Amanda Jurica, Brittany Nguyen, Halye Riefstahl, Samantha Rios, Rachel Stewart, Josh Cady, Cameron Childers, Roberto Flores, Josh Moreno, Taylor Nguyen, Brandon Rosas, P.J. Scott, Resha Durst, Mickel Gentry, Trent Grogan, Nathan Jenkins, Richie Pich, Pete Zumwalt, Geneva Aubrey, Chelsi Godwin, Lindsey Jenkins, Kaitlin Miller, Catherine Provencio and Cynea Perry.
Choir members qualifying for state on a solo and ensemble were Melissa Anderson, Matt Berckmoes, Chance Brundrett, Sarah Craig, Elise Harbour, Gabby Hernandez, Josh Hernandez, Manuel Iwabuchi, Kate Knapp, Maggie Ochoa, Cortnie Koerber, Krista Pape, Mychelle Ramirez, Brooke Robbins, Kenny Schibi, Taylor Shen, Tristen Taylor, and Sherisse Valdez.
Those qualifying for state on a solo were Geneva Aubrey, Chelsi Godwin, Lindsey Jenkins, Kaitlin Miller, and Catherine Provencio,.
Those qualifying for state in an ensemble were Aaliyah Alfaro, Brandon Hardee, Ashley Harrell, D’Andre Herron, Jackie Longino, Makayla Reed, Haley Sheridan, and Lauren Walling.
